The story behind Kan's Kitchen

Kan’s Kitchen began due to friends and family demanding Kanlaya to start sharing her food to a wider audience! Having had a pestle and mortar in her hands since she was a child accompanying her mother throughout Thailand’s infamous street food markets, she gained an intuitive knowledge of the four fundamental taste areas of Thai Food – salt. sweet, sour and spicy.
 
Her passion for producing only the very best food led her to attend the famous Wandee School of Cookery in Bangkok and Le Cordon Bleu and work at Harrods in Knightsbridge. Accompanied by her daughter Arisa who is a Leith School of Food and Wine alumna – they are keen to share their food journey with you.

All our ingredients where ever possible are sourced locally with the help of local businesses in and around Banbury (Oxfordshire) – this is key to us and ultimately means that your food is fresher, our environment is impacted less and our local economy benefits.
